About Organic Larder

The Organic Larder Grocery Store was established in October 2000. Owner, Billy Bond, worked in the organic industry in the UK for many years and on return to Geelong felt there was a real need for an organic produce store with modern ideas, professional presentation and friendly service in the area.

Organic Larder has strived to be a sustainable business. It joined the 'Village Green VIC 1000 Sustainable Business Management Programme' and went on to win the 'Overall Excellence Award' for the Southwest Region in October 2008. This was achieved by, amongst other things, replacing old devices which were inefficient, replacing lighting and reinforcing good water & energy practices resulting in a 30% reduction in energy usage.

Organic Larder won the ' Best Presented City Business' competition in 2003. This competition is run by the local newspaper and is awarded to a city business showing flair and imagination in the presentation of their business.
